Short review: Meh.
Slightly longer review: If you like candy corn, you’ll probably really like at least one of these flavors. If you don’t like candy corn, then these probably won’t do much to change your mind.
Need more that that? Ok. Target right now has three exclusive (!) flavors of Brach’s candy corn: Sea Salt Chocolate, Peanut Butter Cup, and Brunch Favorites, which is a combination of Waffles & Strawberry, Chocolate Chip Pancakes, and French Toast and Maple Syrup (although the whole bag smells like maple syrup when you open it).
I set the flavors out in separate dishes in the office kitchen for people to try and also brought them to a team lunch.
At the lunch there was one candy corn enthusiast who enjoyed them all, but liked the Sea Salt Chocolate the best. Everyone else was lukewarm on candy corn in general, so they tried all the flavors, but nobody was completely won over by any of them. Sea Salt Chocolate did seem to be the favorite though.
As for the bowls I left in the kitchen, usually any food put into a common area disappears within an hour in my office. The candy corn was there for two days and then I threw out the little bit that was left. People may have picked at it out of curiosity, but nobody loved it enough to grab a handful or take a whole bowl to their desk. (Yes, that happens.)
Pick up some of this candy corn if you need a fun way to decorate an edible haunted house, or if you have a candy corn lover in your life. Otherwise, play it safe and stick to chocolate.
Corny in other ways,
