You know that guy. He’s the Simon Cowell of the office, trading high fashion for early morning simplicity and showing up every day in basically the same thing. Not the exact same shirt and pants, but some variation of jeans, a black tshirt, and sneakers.
How to best celebrate Uniform Guy’s birthday? By embracing his look and creating an office full of clones.
For this particular guy, I wanted to make use of my classic Wilton tshirt cake pan, because it would have been a perfect match. But he’s particular about his sweets, and the week before just oh-so-casually asked everyone what their favorite desserts were so that he could then oh-so-casually mention that he far prefers cookies to cake.
Out went my plan to make a black tshirt cake and instead I baked an assortment of cookies and used the cake pan as a serving dish. I Googled “black tshirt” and found a nice image to print out and use as a label for the cookies to tie the whole thing together.
The cookies were a hit, and it was amazing how many people said, “Oh my God, where did you get a plate shaped like a shirt!?” Did nobody else grow up in the 80s with these awesome, classic pans? I’ll make the van or R2D2 next and really blow their minds.
